Last week the ‘Fachtagung Katastrophenvorsorge‘ took place in Berlin. The annual symposium, organized by the German Red Cross, brings various actors together involved in national and international disaster risk reduction. Our workshop, which we were running together with the Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (BBK) and the German Aerospace Centre (DLR), focused on the potential of geoinformation for disaster risk reduction. We were happy to provide insights into ongoing research related to Volunteered Geographic Information and would like to thank everybody involved.
