Heidelberg University has awarded the title adjunct professor (außerplanmäßiger Professor) to HeiGIT member Dr. Sven Lautenbach. As a member of the faculty of chemistry and geosciences he is allowed (and obligated) to lecture and conduct examinations and has the right to supervise doctoral theses.
The award highlights the strong and successful cooperation between HeiGIT and Heidelberg University in teaching and research as well as the strong teamwork at HeiGIT and GIScience that forms the base for this grant of honors. We look forward to further strengthen this cooperation and would like to express our gratitude to the Klaus-Tschira Stiftung for making this happen.
While the current pandemic situation prevents a real celebration, the event is only postponed and not abandoned. We are looking forward for a celebration as soon as weather and pandemic indicators allow.
