Collaboration with World Seastems project team on analysis of geo-tagged shipping information

During end of November and the first week of December, Amin Mobasheri was invited by Dr. César Ducruet to have a short research stay at French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS)Institute of Complex Systems, Paris. The visit included presentation of the results of the on-going LLOYDS lists project running at GIScience research group Heidelberg as well as discussions on similar topics, since their group are conducting research on space and time analysis of maritime networks under the European project World Seastems.

The rest of the days of visit was devoted to meetings with the World Seastems project members on discussing common topics of both projects and planning for future collaborations between two project teams.

The next visit is planned for April 2016 for the international workshop on maritime flows and networks (WIMAKS’16).
