This Wednesday (Oct. 14th) afternoon at 16:15-17:45 the GIScience Research Group @ Heidelberg University will introduce itself to the Master students and any other interested persons and students with a selection of short presentations about some of the key research topics in the group, as indicated through our publications in journals and conferences.
This includes:
– Volunteered Geographic Information (VGI), such as OpenStreetMap (OSM)
– Routing & Navigation
– Spatiotemporal Analysis of GeoSocial Media
– 3D Geoinformation and Laser Scanning (LiDAR)
– Disaster Management and Risk Mapping
etc.pp.
This shall also help Master students to understand how to specialize in Geoinformatics within the Master in Geography courses at Heidelberg University.
