Yesterday, Michael Vetter received his PhD from the Vienna University of Technology for his thesis “Airborne laser scanning terrain and land cover models as basis for hydrological and hydraulic studies”. Michael was visiting fellow in our research group in summer 2011 and performed parts of his thesis together with the LiDAR Research Group of the Chair of GIScience. Furthermore, he was external supervisor of the Master thesis by Helen Dorn (2013) in the field of GIS-based hydrodynamic roughness parameterization using object-based image analysis, LiDAR and OpenStreetMap (OSM) data.
All the best for your further career in applied geoinformatics.
