A full-time PostDoc position is available at the GIScience Research Group at the Department of Geography of Heidelberg University.
The aim is to contribute to the research at the GIScience Research Group and to start building an own junior research group including the mentoring of PhD students.
The candidate should have a demonstrated research track in at least one or more of the following topics:
– Conceputalization and Development of GI Algorithms and Methods
– GeoComputation and Spatial Data Mining
– GeoWeb, GI Services and Apps
We expect a PhD in either Computer Science, Geoinformatics, Geography or related fields, as well as strong and demonstrated research experience in Geoinformatics, paired with the ability for independent scientific work, management skills, the acquisition of third party funding as well as teamwork and leadership.
